There is always a huge demand for our scholarships and with such a long tradition of support for women taking higher degrees we are always grateful for donations of any size to increase the help we can provide. At present we are also collecting funds for a special award to mark the centenary of the first BFWG scholarship awarded in 1912. Fundraising is a regular feature of many local associations' programmes and many remember former members by an entry in the Memorial Book with a small payment which goes to the scholarship funds.
We also encourage giving by individuals who are then eligible to increase the value of their gifts by completing a gift aid form if they are UK tax payers, enabling us to recover the equivalent of basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs. If you are able to make a personal donation please print, complete and sign the form below and send it with your donation (payable to BFWG Scholarship Fund) to BFWG, 4 Mandeville Courtyard, 142 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 4NB.
Unfortunately the rules applying to gift aid mean that this is not available where a group of people raise funds together.
