Government Survey on Gender Equality

Recently Jenny Morley represented BFWG at a meeting with the Minister, Nicky Morgan, together with representatives of the other 6-O organisations.

Following on from this meeting Jenny received the following e-mail encouraging BFWG members to respond to the GEO survey.

Subject: Launch of new government survey: Your chance to shape UK priorities on gender equality

Dear all,

As promised during our last 6-O meeting with Nicky Morgan, I wanted to notify you of the Government Equalities Office’s new public survey on gender equality.

For those that were not able to attend, I also wanted to provide some further information on this. As we approach the twentieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action –  the Government wants to hear from women, men and civil society groups on what progress you think is being made by business and the government to improve the lives of women and girls in the UK. As well as delivering a regional roadshow of events – we will be collecting feedback through a short survey that is open to all.

The link to the article and survey can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/your-chance-to-shape-uk-priorities-on-gender-equality

As discussed, we would be most grateful if you could share the link to this survey among your members. This is a great opportunity for your members to have a say and help shape future UK priorities. You also mentioned you could upload the link onto your websites to draw greatest attention to it –this would be greatly appreciated.

Please do let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks in advance,

Jessie
