Lincoln & Lincolnshire Association
Welcome to the Lincoln and Lincolnshire Association of Women Graduates
Who are we?
A group of approximately twenty members (locally) with a range of interests, professions and occupations. We welcome all graduate women and those with professional qualifications (eg teachers, health professionals, social workers, police) regardless of age, sexual orientation, without cultural, religious or critical bias.
We are currently confirming our speaker programme. Our Local Association will be supporting a space in a Community Shop and will be working online with SI Minerva to adapt and further develop DA resources.
What do we do?
Hold monthly meetings on a variety of social, cultural and academic topics
Meet informally for monthly lunches and coffee
Hold a monthly book club on Zoom
Exchange biennial visits with members of the Grenoble Association in France
Attend area and national meetings including the Annual Westminster Seminar held at the House of Lords
Lobby on matters of concern, raising and responding to issues relating to the education of girls and women and their representation
Keep in touch with area, national, European and international developments through the twice monthly BFWG bulletin and also through BFWG News
Give small bursaries to female students at Lincoln universities
Hold occasional events to which partners and friends are invited
