UWE CONFERENCE & GENERAL ASSEMBLY
BUCHAREST, ROMANIA - 2 to 4 October 2026
Attended:
41 members representing 14 NFAs including members from Bulgaria and North Macedonia, two of the newest UWE NFAs.
Dr. Başak Ovacık, President of UWE reported:
Throughout the event, we were privileged to hear from outstanding keynote speakers whose insights and perspectives truly inspired us all. During this event, we had the honor of presenting the UWE European Award to Dina Loghin, President of the European Women's Lobby, who was deeply touched by the recognition.
I am also thrilled to announce that Juliana Cici (Secretary General) and Georgeta Stoican (Treasurer) were unanimously elected. Please join me in offering them our warmest congratulations and full support as they step into their leadership roles.
On behalf of our entire network, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Romanian Association, Roxane Petrescu and her dedicated team. Their exceptional hospitality, meticulous organization, and tireless efforts created a warm, productive, and memorable environment for all of us. A highlight of our time together was celebrating UWE's 45th anniversary at our Gala Dinner.
